A Double Edged BladePoetry comes from the heart and the mind,
so rarely because not often we find
a crisp enough wit to lay out what we say
to rhyme and beat in the poetic way.
When a man's mind is at its peak,
tends, for me, to be the hour of sleep,
so a choice must be made when I go to my bed,
to rest and recoup, or write poems instead.
And often as not the moment does flee,
leaving the rest of the poem to me,
to finish in hours of cold daylight sun,
never ending as well as they often begun.
And so some may envy this talent of mine,

The So'rialClawed feet fell upon the sand, as the So'rial marched forward. Clad in white, from the desert come, they slew with spell and sword.
Proud Marans stood against the foe, though far less in numbers, true. Each man stood fast beside his friends, and watched them get run through.
But from the Capitol legions came, The Gryphon Guard, with Magi strong, They reached the hallowed fortress first, ready for battle, hard and long.

A rhyme (not sure if it is quite worthy of poem status) I wrote, to do with a fantasy story I am writing at the moment. Kaelas is the main character, the So'rial are wild catmen from the barren deserts, and the Marans are the humans. That should be all you need to know. This describes the final battle I have planned for the book.
